In July of 2009, Cape Breton University played host to a two day Project UFO Day Camp for children ages 6-12. It was sponsored in part by the Invasive Alien Species Partnership Program, as well as the School of Science and Technology, Cape Breton University.

The day camp allowed children to get some hands on experience in different topics of science through the use of activities, crafts, games, and even an optional eel dissection!

Everyone was split into colour-coded teams (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Orange) and teams competed for points over the two days.

All in all, everyone had a lot of fun, learned tons, and made many new friends.
